Rules and Regulations

Discipline forms the backbone of success at ZZen India Public School. Our rules and regulations are framed to maintain order, respect, and a positive learning environment. Every student is expected to follow these guidelines with sincerity and responsibility.

School Rules

    To the students

  • Students should come to school on time and must be present in the classroom by 8.40 a.m.
  • Silence is to be observed during and after the assembly as well as in the absence of the teacher.
  • Every student should respectfully greet all the teachers, irrespective of the classes they handle.
  • Every student is expected to speak in English on the school campus.
  • Disobedience in any form will result in disciplinary action.
  • No gifts are to be given to the teachers or friends.
  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and with pride at all the times .
  • Nails should be trimmed regularly.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the school is the responsibility of every student.
  • Writing or scribbling on walls, desks, benches or any other place is strictly prohibited.
  • Latecomers are not allowed to enter the classroom without permission from the principal.
  • Students should always move out of the classroom in a line.
  • Cellphones, cameras and other electronic gadgets are not allowed. If found, they will be confiscated.

Boys are not permitted to:


  • Have long sideburns, long hair, streaked hair and fancy hair style.
  • Wear hand bands / bracelets / chains.
  • Grow their beard or moustache.
  • Wear T-Shirts / Sleeveless shirts within school premises.


Code to be followed by girls:


  • Girls should keep their hair neatly tied with black bands only.


Girls are not permitted to:


  • Wear eye make-up and more than one ear piercing.
  • Wear gold earrings, bangles, chains, fancy jewellery, colourful hair bands, long earrings and anklets.
  • Adorn their hair with flowers or colourful clips or hair bands, paint their nails or apply mehndi.




Library Rules


  • Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
  • Readers can pick a book that fits their interest according to their categories.
  • “Be a responsible reader!” Replace or pay for any lost or damaged books.
  • To promote the “Read at Home” habit, students may collect books after making an entry in the diary and must return them within a week’s time.
  • A fine will be charged if the books are not returned within the specified period of time.
  • Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of using the library facilities.



Eco Rules

    All these rules must be strictly followed. If not, strict disciplinary action will be taken.

  • Students should avoid littering the campus and must dispose the garbage in the designated bins after proper segregation.
  • Students are not permitted to bring snacks or biscuits in wrappers. All packages should be opened at home and the snacks or biscuits must be sent to school in a tiffin box.
  • Students are strictly prohibited from bringing snack boxes, lunch boxes or water bottles made of plastic. Only metal containers are to be used.
  • Lunch bags made of synthetic materials are not permitted. Only jute, canvas or cloth bags are allowed.
  • Individually wrapped chocolates, toffees and similar items will not be permitted for birthday celebrations. Instead, children may distribute burfies like kadalai urundai, yel urundai or small items such as inexpensive erasers or pencils. The use of plastics or disposable materials is strictly prohibited.

By following these rules, students not only maintain discipline within the campus but also cultivate habits of responsibility, respect, and excellence in their personal lives.
